Dragons be here

I am working on Little Man's dragon, as well as his sweater.  The sweater is easier to travel, as I am just knitting the body, and have about 8 inches left before the ribbing (read great TV knitting).  But the dragon takes more focus.

I have completed several parts, and am working on the arms with fingers.  The construction is different for me, which means it is a learning opportunity and takes concentration.  I had to label several items as well.  The best thing is that I had little pieces of paper and safety pins ready to go from the Master Crocheter's program.

After I finish the dragon and sweater, I have several projects that are waiting.  I have items for my Etsy shop, items for myself and even something for Christmas waiting!  It is all just a matter of time.  What are you working on?

The second sweater

I did finish the dragon sweater, and it was not too soon.  I chose a much simpler sweater for this year's birthday sweater.  I know I am still behind, but here is this one.

This is KnitPicks Palette yarn, in the color Whirlpool.  A few months ago, I found an incredibly great deal and I couldn't pass up on yarn. So I got all the yarn for this year's birthday sweaters for the kiddos.

I still need to block the dragon sweater, but here it is in all its glory.  Not too bad for a sweater that caused me a bunch of problems.  And as usual, it is now too warm to really wear it.  But he should be able to wear it next year as well.

Fast as a snail, on a good day

This sweater is still on-going.  The head is all that is left.  I hope to finish it this weekend.  Poor kid has been waiting for over a year for this sweater, and although we keep having some colder days, spring is on its way.  I hope that it will be big enough to last next winter as well.  I have honestly been off and on with this sweater.  It just takes so much concentration, it is hard to work on during the day.

I have plans for after all Little Man's stuff.  I am working on the Master Crocheter's program, and I think I plan on something for me.  I have a couple of ideas, and some projects waiting for myself.  So far, it is turning into an interesting year.

Still working on it

I finally finished taking out the front and all the duplicate stitching to fix the front. I did not take out all the dragon, as evidenced by the picture.  Speaking pf dragons, I am also working on his red dragon.  I will take a picture of that soon too.

I have started the Master's Class for Advanced Crochet Techniques.  So far, it is proving thoughtful.  However, I am not quite sure what to think of the yarn requirements.  It specifically requires acrylic yarn.  I can understand that, but not that I agree with the reasoning.  Any thoughts?
